
This July 4, 2025, the 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗣𝗘𝗦𝗢) of Oton facilitated a seminar entitled “𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗘𝗢𝗦, 𝗣𝗗𝗢𝗦/𝗣𝗠𝗢𝗦, 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆, 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗜𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗢𝗙𝗪𝘀, 𝗢𝗙𝗪 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗙𝗪 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀” with vital knowledge and tools for safe migration, financial stability, and mental well-being at Wiljurich Beach Resort, Oton, Iloilo.
This meaningful activity was made possible through the initiative and strong support of Hon. Sofronio L. Fusin Jr., Municipal Mayor of Oton, whose leadership played a vital role in the success of the program. His efforts, together with the support of Vice Mayor Jose Niel P. Olivares, were instrumental in pushing the program forward and ensuring the active participation of the community. Sir Vicente Silla, Private Secretary II, in behalf of Mayor Fusin gave an inspiring and meaningful message as welcome to the participants and guests.
The seminar featured expert resource speakers, including Mr. Ricky P. Cordova (Overseas Workers Welfare Officer), Mr. John Francis A. Solas (Family Welfare Officer), Ms. Cynthia P. Dario (PGDH), Mr. Vergilio Tolentino Jr. (Labor and Employment Officer), and Mr. Joefel Resol (Secretary, Western Visayas Migrants Network). Their talks covered topics on safe migration, OFW rights, family resilience, and stress management, providing participants with practical insights and essential knowledge.
