
Agricultural experts Levie V. Legarda, Science Research Specialist II and Cherry E. Tayson, Senior Science Research Specialist and OIC Chief of the Regional Crop Protection Center (RCPC) were invited as keynote speakers to share their expertise on modern and sustainable pest control techniques. Topics included biological control, proper pesticide use, crop rotation, and natural pest deterrents, ensuring that farmers could adopt eco-friendly and cost-effective methods.
The training was highly interactive, with farmers actively participating in discussions. Many shared their experiences and sought advice from the experts on specific pest issues they encountered in their fields.
By the end of the session, the farmers of OBOGA felt empowered and hopeful. With their newfound knowledge, they were ready to implement what they had learned, ensuring healthier crops and improved yields.
