
The Municipality of Oton successfully held the 3rd Quarter Meeting of the Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System (GFPS) on September 5, 2025, at the MACO FITS Center, Oton.
The meeting featured an orientation session for both the Executive Committee and the Technical Working Group (TWG) on the key provisions of Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) 2024-01 and Executive Order No. 52, Series of 2025.
The orientation highlighted the revised roles and responsibilities of GFPS Executive Committee and TWG members, as outlined in Executive Order No. 52, titled:
“An Order Reorganizing the GAD Focal Point System and Institutional Mechanism to Implement and Strengthen the Localization of the Magna Carta of Women in the Municipality of Oton, and Reorganizing the GAD Focal Point System – Technical Working Group.”
Presentations were delivered by:
1. Donnie Alvon Mañosa, GAD Coordinator – Secondary
2. Sherie Ann Silla, GAD Coordinator – Elementary
3. Various LGU departments and offices
The presentations highlighted accomplishment reports, particularly on the status of budget utilization for GAD-related programs and initiatives.
The GFPS Executive Committee is chaired by Hon. Sofronio L. Fusin, Jr., Municipal Mayor of Oton.
