To ensure the effective and timely implementation of the New Oton Public Market project, Mayor Sofronio L. Fusin, Jr., together with Municipal Architect Henry Tan and MEEDO OIC-Head Mr. Nilo Damasco, conducted an ocular inspection of the ongoing construction work on February 27. The site visit was an essential part of the monitoring process to verify the progress made on the project and to ensure that the construction is proceeding according to the established plans and timelines.
Mayor Fusin, who has been actively overseeing the project’s development, took the opportunity to personally inspect the construction site and assess the accomplishments achieved so far. His hands-on approach reflects his commitment to ensuring that the infrastructure project is completed without unnecessary delays. The inspection allowed him to identify any challenges or obstacles that might impede the construction process, such as unforeseen circumstances, material shortages, or labor issues. Addressing these factors promptly will help mitigate any risks that could affect the project’s timeline or quality.
The New Oton Public Market is a crucial infrastructure initiative for the municipality, forming a core part of the Fusin-Olivares Administration’s broader vision for economic growth and community development. The project is designed to provide a modern and upgraded facility that will cater to the growing needs of the local population, enhancing public access to fresh produce, goods, and services. The administration is keen on making the market not just a commercial space but also a vibrant hub for economic activity that will support local businesses, attract more visitors, and stimulate job creation.
By improving the public market, the local government aims to foster a more robust economic environment, enabling better trade opportunities for entrepreneurs and vendors. Additionally, the modern facilities are expected to enhance the overall public experience, offering a cleaner, safer, and more efficient marketplace for residents and visitors alike.
