The program commenced with Vice Mayor Jose Neil P. Olivares ably narrating and explaining the rationale behind celebrating the historic event. “This is a testament to the local government unit’s commitment to preserving history and honoring the bravery of our veterans,” he said.

For his part, Mayor Sofronio L. Fusin, Jr. delivered an emotional and personal speech. “As a former military man and combatant, I deeply understand the hardships and sacrifices our veterans endured to secure our freedom. Their dedication deserves our profound gratitude. We owe them a debt of thanks for their selfless service.” Mayor Fusin stated.

Subsequently, Mrs. Nida Blanca Thurston of the VFP Sons and Daughters Association Inc., Oton Post gave an inspirational speech on behalf of the association.

Adding vibrant to the event are the presence of SB Members Hon. Jimmy Olivares, Hon. Dennis Geroche, Hon. Lorna T. Geonigo, Hon. Paul Buenafe, and Hon. Lee A. Bretaña, Punong Barangay Larry Alison and Doc Dell Cartago-Hosillos.
