The Oton Municipal Economic Enterprise Development Office (MEEDO), in partnership with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) and the Traffic Management Task Force (TMTF), recently spearheaded a clearing operation targeting fish vendors who were illegally selling outside the designated area of the Oton Public Market.
Led by Mr. Malvin Nad of MEEDO and Senior Administrative Assistant to the Mayor, Mr. Vicente Silla, the initiative emphasized the importance of maintaining order and public safety within the market vicinity.
This operation was carried out as part of the municipality’s broader effort to enforce local regulations, ensuring that vendors comply with established guidelines and that the market operates smoothly for the benefit of all. By regulating the proper placement of vendors, the local government seeks to create a safer and more organized environment for both sellers and consumers.
The LGU of Oton remains committed to fostering sustainable development and promoting adherence to public ordinances. This recent action highlights the leadership’s proactive stance on addressing challenges and maintaining harmony within the community.
