The Municipality of Oton commences its celebration of National Clean Air Month, National Environmental Awareness Month, and Climate Change Consciousness Week. This year’s theme is “Circular Actions for Climate Hope.”

Mayor Sofronio L. Fusin, Jr. and Vice Mayor Jose Niel P. Olivares, as part of the kick-off activity of the month-long celebration, spearheaded the Turnover of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Campaign Materials to all primary and secondary schools in the municipality. The representatives of various schools received the Environmental Signages on November 6, 2023, during the flag-raising ceremony.

Oton MENRO Department Head, Ms. Menchie G. Paniergo discussed the importance of taking collective circular actions to combat climate change and create a sustainable future. By adopting the Circular Actions for Climate Hope, individuals, businesses, and government sectors and agencies can work together to reduce carbon emissions, protect the environment, and foster a circular economy through reducing, reusing, and recycling.
