A total of 341 beneficiaries officially started their first day of work under the DOLE TUPAD Program, highlighted by a photo opportunity with Mayor Sofronio L. Fusin Jr. In the afternoon, 87 beneficiaries also participated in an orientation facilitated by DOLE representatives.

The program was spearheaded by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Oton, under the leadership of PESO Manager Ms. Marriet S. Tumapang.

Representing Mayor Fusin, Ms. Cyra de la Cruz from the Mayor’s Office delivered a message of support, while Hon. Jimmy Olivares, Sangguniang Bayan Member and Chairperson on Labor and Employment, inspired the beneficiaries with his encouraging remarks. The orientation proper was conducted by Sir Eric de los Santos and Ms. Jessa Mogatar, DOLE TUPAD Coordinators.

The Municipality of Oton extends its heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Sofronio L. Fusin Jr. and Vice Mayor Jose Neil P. Olivares for their steadfast support, and to DOLE VI Regional Director Atty. Sixto “Popoy” Rodriguez Jr. and Governor Arthur “Toto” Defensor Jr. for making this livelihood program possible.

Through the DOLE TUPAD Program, more Ogtonganons are given opportunities that serve as a vital aid to support their families and strengthen the community
