
The Oton Municipal Council for Culture and Arts (MCCA) met earlier today to plan activities for the upcoming Katagman Festival 2025 and discuss strategies for promoting tourism and preserving the town’s cultural heritage.
Municipal Tourism Officer Che Che S. Demo-os led the meeting on behalf of Mayor Sofronio L. Fusin, Jr. The MCCA, which guides cultural and tourism initiatives, stressed the importance of aligning festival preparations with efforts to boost Oton’s tourism sector.
“The Katagman Festival celebrates our identity and showcases Oton’s unique offerings,” said Demo-os.
Further meetings are scheduled to refine plans for the festival and ensure that cultural preservation remains at the heart of the town’s tourism initiatives.
