In a heartwarming celebration of love and commitment, twenty-five (25) lovely couples exchanged vows during a Civil Mass Wedding Ceremony organized by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Oton through its Municipal Civil Registrar’s Office, headed by Ms. Ma. Neriesa C. Aragones.
Vice Mayor Jose Neil P. Olivares graced the ceremony and delivered an inspiring message to the newlyweds. He emphasized the enduring nature of marriage, acknowledging its inherent ups and downs while urging couples to focus on and appreciate their partners’ positive qualities, thereby sustaining healthy marriage relationships.
Mayor Sofronio L. Fusin, Jr., who served as the solemnizing officer, offered words of wisdom, highlighting honesty and respect as cornerstones of a successful marriage. He encouraged the couples to face life’s challenges together bravely and to seek divine guidance in their journey as husband and wife.
Mr. Jerry L. Dolutan, OIC Supervising Statistical Specialist of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Iloilo, was invited as the special guest.
The LGU of Oton sponsored the event as part of its efforts to promote the welfare of families through a strong marriage foundation. The Mass Civil Wedding Ceremony was a wonderful opportunity for the couples to formalize their relationships and solidify their commitment.
Held today, March 20, at the New Oton Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, the joyous event brought together families, friends, and the community to witness the couples’ union.
